Audreys 6th Birthday AND First Day of 1st Grade

What a busy busy BUSY day. August 21st was Audrey's first day of school...and also her birthday. So let's just say...the day was a bit crazy. 

First off we started with breakfast in bed. Audrey made the comment on Father's day that she wondered when Kid day was so that she could have breakfast in her bed---so we thought it would be fun to let her have breakfast in bed for her birthday. She really liked it...and so did Emerson :) We also let her open a present (she got a new shirt and headbands). 

Then we got ready for school...and took some pictures in the front yard. 

Here is a close up. She fell down on her scooter 2 days before school started and gave herself and road rash mustache. sad. But still cute. 

The we walked to school with The Barnett's. Thank goodness Mia is in her class! It seemed a bit overwhelming to me. LOOK AT ALL THOSE KIDS! Can you spot Audrey. She has on a Hello Kitty Backpack. She didn't seem overwhelmed at all. Just jumped right in...excited to go back to school!

And here is her teacher...Mrs. Beck. She seems really nice, and so far Audrey really likes her. 

After school Audrey played with friends, and ate the cupcake I so carefully snuck into her lunch. (nope she didn't eat it at school...she decided she wanted to save it so she could eat it at home. silly girl. oh well.) And then when David got home from work we had homemade Pizza (her favorite food)...blew out candles on some more cupcakes...

and this picture that my friend Melinda painted. I finally got it printed on a canvas. YAY! 

And then we watched the Lorax. 

It was a fun birthday. WE LOVE YOU AUDREY!!!
